The new Southwest Center directors include a mix of alumni of the early Winter
Schools (Matt Papanikolas, David Savitt, and William Stein) and old
hands (Dinesh Thakur and Fernando Rodriguez Villegas). They will be
supported by an advisory group consisting of David Ben-Zvi, Minhyong
Kim, Bill McCallum, Bjorn Poonen, and Doug Ulmer. The new group,
led by David Savitt, has obtained three more years of funding
from NSF.
